Ranveer Singh is living his best life in Budapest—football, selfies, and a whole lot of style. The actor was recently snapped with Arsenal and England midfielder Declan Rice ahead of a major football fixture, and the internet can’t stop talking about this crossover moment.
Ranveer shared the picture on his Instagram Stories with the iconic ‘Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan’ playing in the background—because nothing says bromance like a classic friendship anthem. The duo looked relaxed and chuffed, bringing together two worlds of entertainment and sport in one frame.
But it wasn’t just a celebrity meet-up. The actor also bumped into a couple of desi fans during his Budapest trip and happily posed for a selfie. One of the fans later posted about the encounter, saying it was totally unexpected and made their day. Ya, that’s our Ranveer—always ready to spread some love.
FWICE Drops A Bombshell Over Don 3 Exit
While Ranveer was soaking up the European vibes, back home the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against him. Reports suggest this is linked to his alleged last-minute withdrawal from the highly anticipated Don 3, which has reportedly caused losses of nearly Rs 45 crore during pre-production.
FWICE has also approached producer bodies like IMPPA and the Producers Guild of India, seeking industry-wide intervention. The move has put Ranveer under serious scrutiny, but his team is handling it with what they call “restraint and grace.”
His spokesperson released a statement, saying, “Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect.”
The statement further added that while many narratives and speculations have surfaced, Ranveer never felt the need to respond publicly. “His focus remains firmly on his work and the commitments ahead. Choosing restraint and grace in moments like these has always been a conscious decision on his part, and he will continue to maintain the same stance.”
Kantara Temple Visit Adds To The Controversy
If one controversy wasn’t enough, Ranveer also made headlines for visiting the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru—but this wasn’t a simple darshan. The visit came following directions from the Karnataka High Court in connection with the Kantara mimicry case.
Back in November last year, Ranveer had recreated a scene from the blockbuster Kantara during the International Film Festival of India in Goa, where the character gets possessed by the Chamundi daiva. The act didn’t go down well with certain groups, leading to a legal battle. In April, the actor submitted a revised affidavit and an unconditional apology, after which the court directed him to offer prayers at the temple within four weeks.
Ranveer had earlier apologised publicly, saying his intention was purely to highlight Rishab Shetty’s incredible performance. The temple visit happened just a day after FWICE’s non-cooperation directive, making it a packed week for the actor—both in court and in the industry.
Whether it’s football with Declan Rice or facing professional heat back home, Ranveer Singh is clearly not backing down. And if his social media posts and temple visits are anything to go by, the man is keeping calm and carrying on—with style.
