Second Weekend Surge Pushes Film Towards Century Mark

Drishyam 3 is proving to be a slow burner that refuses to fade out. After a slight dip on its second Friday, the Mohanlal-starrer roared back on Day 10, Saturday, collecting Rs 5.05 crore net in India—a solid 17.4% jump from the previous day’s Rs 4.30 crore. According to industry tracking site Sacnilk, the film’s India net total now stands at Rs 91.30 crore, inching closer to the coveted Rs 100 crore domestic milestone.

The film’s global performance is equally impressive. Overseas markets contributed Rs 6 crore on Day 10 alone, pushing the international total to Rs 113.75 crore. Combined with Indian gross receipts of Rs 105.94 crore, the global haul has climbed to Rs 219.69 crore. Trade insiders suggest the film’s intricate mystery and strong repeat value are driving audiences back to theaters.

Kerala Leads the Charge with Strong Occupancy Rates

Unsurprisingly, Kerala remains the biggest market for the Jeethu Joseph-directed thriller. The state grossed Rs 4.35 crore on Day 10, far outpacing other regions. Karnataka followed with Rs 61 lakh, Tamil Nadu added Rs 35 lakh, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 25 lakh. The rest of India chipped in Rs 30 lakh.

Evening and night shows drew the largest crowds, with Malayalam occupancy hitting 56.83% at night and averaging 38.35% for the day. This pattern indicates that family audiences and die-hard fans are keeping the momentum alive, even as new releases compete for screen space.

Weekend Momentum Could Extend the Film’s Run

Drishyam 3 closed its first week at Rs 81.95 crore net, added Rs 6.65 crore on Day 8, dipped slightly to Rs 4.30 crore on Day 9, and bounced back with Rs 5.05 crore on Day 10. The film played across 2,570 shows on Saturday, reflecting distributor confidence in its box office potential.

With the second weekend delivering a strong hold, trade experts believe the film is well-positioned for a long theatrical run—provided weekdays hold up. The Rs 100 crore net milestone in India now seems like a formality rather than a question mark. As Drishyam 3 continues to unravel its mystery at the box office, all eyes are on how far it can go before the next big release arrives.
