Day 16 Collection Sees a 40% Jump

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is holding its ground in its third week, even as new releases threaten to take over screens. According to box office tracking reports, the film saw a healthy 40% growth on day 16 compared to its previous day’s earnings.

The Mudassar Aziz directorial collected a net of Rs 1.75 crore in India on its sixteenth day, across 2,569 shows. This brings the total India net collection to Rs 44.95 crore, while the India gross collection now stands at Rs 53.36 crore. Overseas, the film has added Rs 7.65 crore to its kitty, pushing the worldwide gross collection past the Rs 60 crore mark to Rs 61.01 crore.

How New Releases Affected the Film’s Run

After enjoying a clear first week with no major competition, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do had to lock horns with Lakshya and Ananya Panday’s Chand Mera Dil and the Hollywood tentpole Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in its second week. Both films hit cinemas on May 22, 2026, and immediately ate into the Ayushmann starrer’s screen count.

Industry insiders suggest the reduced screen availability is what kept the film from reaching even higher numbers in week two. Still, the comedy has managed to sustain decent footfalls, especially in multiplexes, and is expected to continue its run through the third week.

The Journey So Far – Week-by-Week Breakdown & Cast

Looking back at the film’s box office performance, week one brought in a solid Rs 29 crore net in India. Post that, the daily collections have been a mix of highs and lows: Day 8 earned Rs 1.35 crore, Day 9 saw a jump to Rs 2.75 crore, and Day 10 brought Rs 3.25 crore. Subsequent days hovered around the Rs 1.20–1.75 crore range, with Day 16 matching the highest post-weekend mark at Rs 1.75 crore.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, this situational comedy stars Ayushmann Khurrana alongside Rakul Preet Singh as female leads. The supporting cast includes Tighmanshu Dhulia, Vijay Raaz, Ayesh Raza Mishra, Vishal Vashishtha, and Durgesh Kumar. Released on May 15, 2026, the film has crossed the Rs 60 crore global mark and shows no signs of slowing down just yet.
