Kangana Gets Real at the Trailer Launch
Kangana Ranaut brought her signature fire to the trailer launch of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata in Mumbai. Joined by co-stars Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Esha Dey, director Manoj Tapadia, and producers Jayantilal Gada and Shailesh R Singh, the actress didn’t mince words about how disconnected the entertainment industry is from reality. The event turned into a powerful monologue as Kangana shared why this film hit so close to home.
She revealed that when she was first offered the role, she felt hurt because the story is based on real-life incidents where people risked their lives to save others. Kangana pointed out that while tragedies get massive media coverage, acts of heroism often go unnoticed. She even mentioned that the real-life heroes behind the film haven’t received a salary increment for a month. The audience at the multiplex erupted in applause as she spoke.
‘Aap Subah Uthte Hai, Protein Shake Peete Hai, Gym Jaate Hai’
Kangana didn’t hold back her frustration with the celebrity culture. She thundered, “Celebs are living in a bubble. Aap subah uthte hai, protein shake peete hai, gym jaate hai. By doing so, you will never get an idea of how the common man lives his life.” She went on to describe the rigorous preparation she underwent to play her character, calling it a “kadi tapasya” (harsh penance).
The actress admitted that stepping into the shoes of these real-life women made her realize how far she had drifted from reality. She described how these women wake up at 4 am, fill water, cut vegetables on local trains, and face insults while saving lives and cleaning up after patients. Yet they return home smiling. Kangana confessed, “Humein apne aap ko dekhke bahut chota mehsoos hota hai” — it made her feel small in comparison.
A Political Perspective and a June Release
Kangana also credited her political journey for helping her understand the common man better. She said, “As a politician, I got a chance to interact with the real junta. Na jaane main apne aap ko kitne behtar kalakaar maanu, lekin I was acquainted with the truth that had I not interacted with aam junta, I would have been so incompetent for this role.” For her, the film is a tribute to unsung heroes who often remain invisible.
Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is set to hit cinemas on June 12. With Kangana’s powerful words already making waves, the film is generating buzz for its raw portrayal of everyday courage. Whether you agree with her or not, one thing is clear — Kangana Ranaut isn’t afraid to call out the bubble her industry lives in.
