“It looked a lot like Showik’s story,” Rhea said, referring to the similarities in how both cases unfolded. She admitted that seeing another young person caught in the same system brought back painful memories for her family.

Rhea’s brother Showik was arrested in 2020 in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case and the alleged drug angle. He spent over a month in jail before being granted bail. The actress has always maintained that both her brother and Aryan were wrongly targeted by the authorities.
“When Aryan was taken into custody, I couldn’t help but think of Showik sitting in that same lockup. It’s a helpless feeling,” she added. Her comments come at a time when both families have been trying to move on from the legal turmoil.
