Trisha’s ‘Magical May’ Moments

Trisha Krishnan is soaking in the good vibes, and her latest Instagram post proves it. The actress, still riding high on the success of Karuppu, shared a carousel of personal snapshots from what she called her “magical May.” In the caption, she wrote, “A few more from Magical May I’ll be smiling about for a long time to come.” Fans couldn’t resist flooding the comments with love—heart emojis and sweet messages poured in. One fan swooned, “Soft curls and sleepy eyes… The kind of eyes I easily get lost in.” Another added, “Unforgettable and most luckiest May of the year.” Kya baat hai, Trisha!

Karuppu Crosses Rs 300 Crore

Meanwhile, Trisha’s latest film Karuppu is making serious noise at the box office. The Suriya-starrer has officially crossed the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide, leaving behind Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna’s 2023 hit Varisu (which earned Rs 297.55 crore). Director RJ Balaji shared the milestone on social media with a proud post: “#Karuppu 300* not out (fire emojis) @Suriya_offl (heart emojis).” The film still has a way to go before catching Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran (Rs 333.67 crore), but the momentum is strong. For Trisha, this is yet another feather in her cap after Karuppu‘s stellar run.

Director Reveals Vijay Was First Choice

In a fascinating behind-the-scenes tidbit, RJ Balaji revealed that he originally approached Vijay with the script before it landed with Suriya. Speaking about the process, the director said, “I narrated this film first to Vijay sir. This was supposed to be his last film (before his full-fledged political entry). We had two or three meetings, and he heard the script.” Vijay, however, had other options, including H Vinoth’s Jana Nayagan, and asked for a week to decide. Eventually, he turned it down with reasons that Balaji felt were “justified.” The director added, “I replied, ‘Sir, I absolutely respect your decision.'” It’s a classic case of what could have been—but fans are happy with how things turned out, especially with Karuppu smashing records. Wah!
