Ram Charan’s much-awaited sports drama Peddi hasn’t even hit the big screen yet, but the fans are already throwing a party. Preview screenings in Bengaluru turned into a full-blown festival as supporters gathered outside Brunda Theatre, chanting slogans, waving posters, and yes, bursting crackers. The vibe was less movie premiere, more Diwali night.

Bengaluru Theatre Turns Into Celebration Hub

The preview show at Brunda Theatre saw a sea of Ram Charan fans arriving early, and the crowd only swelled as word spread. Videos circulating online show fans holding massive posters of the Mega Powerstar, cheering wildly for the Buchi Babu Sana directorial. Some of the most hardcore fans even climbed onto theatre hoardings to get a better view of the action.

But the real kicker came when firecrackers entered the picture. In one viral clip, fans can be seen bursting crackers right outside the theatre, turning the already charged atmosphere into a full-on celebration. The sound of crackers mixed with chants of ‘Ram Charan’ made the preview feel like a festival rather than just a film screening. Social media, of course, caught fire instantly.

Industry sources say the frenzy is a testament to Ram Charan’s star power post-RRR. The actor is returning to the big screen after a gap, and fans are making sure they show up in full force.

Peddi’s Box Office Numbers Speak Volumes

If the fan celebrations weren’t proof enough, the advance booking numbers are screaming success. Reports suggest Peddi has already earned around Rs 9.82 crore in advance bookings without including block bookings. Add those in, and the figure jumps to Rs 16.66 crore. On a global scale, the film has crossed Rs 35 crore gross in advance sales, indicating massive demand across markets.

Trade data reveals that the Telugu version leads with 4,757 shows, followed by 2,785 in Hindi, 557 in Tamil, 157 in Kannada, and 150 in Malayalam. Nearly four lakh tickets have already been sold for the Telugu version alone. The highest occupancy has been recorded in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands at 57 percent, with Andhra Pradesh at 33 percent and Telangana at 29 percent. Clearly, the buzz is real.

With such strong pre-release numbers, Peddi is poised for a blockbuster opening. Fans are already calling it the biggest release of the year in Telugu cinema.

What To Expect From Ram Charan’s Peddi

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is a sports drama that puts Ram Charan in the role of a village-based sports icon who excels in cricket, wrestling, and running. The actor underwent intense physical transformations to match the demands of each sport, and early glimpses have already impressed audiences.

The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Dr. Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena, Peddi releases in theatres worldwide on June 4. If the preview madness is any indication, the opening day is going to be nothing short of a celebration.
