Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit are set to share screen space for the first time in the upcoming film Maa Behen, a comedy-thriller that promises plenty of twists. With the Netflix release just around the corner, Triptii opened up about what it was like working alongside the legendary actress – and honestly, the admiration is real.
‘She Has No Insecurities, Nothing’
Triptii revealed that growing up, she had always admired Madhuri from a distance, but the hands-on experience brought a whole new level of respect. “When you get to know her as a person, there’s a completely different, very beautiful side to her,” she shared. The young star didn’t hold back on calling Madhuri a role model, saying, “Even if I become a big star of her stature, these are the qualities I would want in me – the humbleness, the kindness, the giving nature. No insecurities, nothing. She is like a zen person, on set and off set.”
Reflecting on Madhuri’s lasting appeal across generations, Triptii added, “Whatever you give out always comes back tenfolds. This is a pure example of that in front of us. This is why she’s so loved by all generations.”
On Love, Friendship, and Consistency
When the conversation turned to relationships, both actresses shared their wisdom. Madhuri emphasised mutual respect and being there for each other through wins and losses. “There should be respect, love and everything, but I think you should always be together in your goals and make sure that your kids and family are always taken care of,” she said.
Triptii chimed in with her own take, highlighting that friendship is the foundation. “Friendship is very, very essential because love as a feeling can fade after a point, but friendship and respect and just being there for each other in difficult times is important. Life is not always in one line; there are ups and downs. Consistency is very important. Not taking each other for granted is something we should always keep in mind.”
Industry Evolution and Maa Behen Release
Madhuri also reflected on how Bollywood has changed over the decades, noting that filming schedules are far more organised today. “We used to do double shifts for two different films. We’d shoot from 9 to 6 for one person and then continue for another film till late at night. Today, we shoot for just one movie and are completely present for it. That’s all we’re doing for the next 30 or 40 days,” she recalled.
Maa Behen, directed by Suresh Triveni, begins streaming on Netflix from June 5, 2026. Fans can expect a fun ride with two powerhouse performers sharing the screen for the first time.
