Fans go wild for Ram Charan’s Peddi on Day 1
Ram Charan’s much-awaited sports drama Peddi hit theatres on June 4, and the early buzz is nothing short of electric. Fans who caught the first shows took to social media to share their reactions, and the verdict is mostly glowing. Industry insiders say the film has already sparked conversations about national awards for its lead actor.
One enthusiastic viewer tweeted, “1st HALF BLOCKBUSTER. VINTAGE @AlwaysRamCharan On Duty. Excellent interval point. Songs & BGM #Peddi #BlockBusterPeddi.” Another fan praised the technical brilliance, writing, “Interval scene. 360 degree and Helicopter cricketing shots in Flood lights with ARR BGM score followed by Peddi chants! Terrific duty by ARR!”
Not everyone was completely sold, though. A more measured review noted, “#Peddi Average 1st Half! Pre-interval to interval sequence is solid and the highlight so far. Charan’s intro sequences also are neat. Apart from this it remains pretty flat and choppy. Heroine and villain track don’t work.”
Fellow stars and critics join the applause
Actor Nikhil Siddhartha was among the first celebrities to share his thoughts, tweeting, “Congrats to Team PEDDI for the Stupendous BLOCKBUSTER @AlwaysRamCharan bhai excels in every Frame. #BucchiBabu garu delivers a very Satisfying film.” He also gave a special shoutout to cinematographer Rathnavelu and music composer AR Rahman.
Film critic and industry veteran Jeevi from Idlebrain wrote a detailed post, calling the film “a watchable commercial entertainer with an honest story that works in parts despite its regular template narration.” He added, “Completed watching the movie: #Peddi’s final portion makes you emotional. It’s about a man who goes to any extent to bring identity and recognition to his village and its people. Ram Charan and the film deserve national awards.”
What to expect from Peddi
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan as an athlete fighting for his village’s identity. The supporting cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu, all of whom have been praised for adding depth to the narrative. AR Rahman’s background score and songs, especially ‘Rai Rai Rara’ and ‘Chikiri’, have been singled out as major highlights.
While some viewers found the first half uneven, the interval block and emotional climax seem to have won over most audiences. With early trends pointing to a strong opening, Peddi looks set to be a significant addition to Ram Charan’s filmography. Stay tuned to Cinecrazy for all the latest box office updates.
