Popularly known as Maddy, actor-filmmaker R Madhavan will receive the Padma Shri. His journey spans over 1,200 television episodes and around 75 films in Hindi, Tamil, and other languages. But wait, there’s more – Madhavan is also a farmer at heart, juggling organic hydroponic farming in Mumbai and a coconut farm in Tamil Nadu. Talk about versatility!
Veteran actor Satish Shah, who has been tickling our funny bones for over four decades, will also get the Padma Shri. From stage to screen, his comedic timing is legendary. The Grand Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan
This is the second investiture ceremony for this year’s Padma Awards. The first one took place last month, honouring 66 awardees.
