Danish Pandor’s special appearance in Imtiaz Ali’s film
Bollywood actor Danish Pandor, known for his work in the Dhurandhar duology, has been confirmed in a special appearance in filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga. The film is set to hit theatres on June 12, 2026.
Pandor revealed that he auditioned for the role shortly before the release of Dhurandhar and had completed his shoot for Main Vaapas Aaunga prior to that film hitting screens. While he declined to share specific details about his character, he hinted that the role carries narrative significance despite being a special appearance. He said he would rather let audiences discover the nature of the role when they watch the film.
Working with Imtiaz Ali
Speaking about working with Imtiaz Ali, Pandor described the experience as memorable. He noted Ali’s humility and creative approach on set, adding that the director’s direction gave him the freedom to explore his performance while also offering a fresh perspective on each scene.
Pandor mentioned that the role differs from characters he has previously played. What drew him to the project, he said, was its emotionally driven story and the weight each character carries within the narrative.
