BTS is back, and they’re breaking records
BTS has officially returned from their military hiatus, and they’re not wasting any time. Their new digital single ‘Come Over’ dropped on June 12, 2026, and within 24 hours, it hit No. 1 on iTunes in 79 countries. The US, UK, Japan, France, Germany, Brazil, Australia — the list goes on. Old ARMYs are feeling nostalgic, while newer fans are getting a taste of the group’s global dominance.
The track started as a hidden bonus on the Deluxe Vinyl edition of their latest album, ARIRANG. Fans went wild over grainy snippets and covers, and eventually, BIGHIT MUSIC gave in and released it officially. By the next morning, it was sitting pretty at the top of charts worldwide. The vibe is softer, more intimate than their usual title tracks — think late-night listening, not main stage energy. Fans are calling it a mood.
ARIRANG is the album that changed everything
ARIRANG, which dropped in April, is the group’s first full album since 2020’s BE, now that all seven members have completed military service. The title nods to a classic Korean folk song, and the music blends traditional Korean instruments with pop, rock, hip-hop, and R&B. Critics are calling it their most Korean album yet, but also their most global. Tracks like ‘Golden Hour’ bring the energy, while ‘Still With You 2026’ is a throwback to Jungkook’s SoundCloud days.
The numbers are insane. ARIRANG just wrapped its ninth week at No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Top Albums chart. Physical sales in Korea have crossed 5.2 million, and the vinyl edition sold out in 10 minutes. Meanwhile, the members are staying busy with solo projects — RM with a photography show, Jin with variety shows and a skincare campaign, SUGA picking up his Agust D tour, j-hope extending his solo tour, Jimin launching a fashion line, V releasing LAYOVER 2, and Jungkook teasing a big US collaboration. But they’re still acting like a group, with weekly behind-the-scenes videos, joint livestreams, and a killer FESTA 2026 performance.
India is still waiting for a tour date
ARIRANG: The Tour is officially happening, with stops in Seoul, Tokyo, LA, Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, São Paulo, and Sydney from August to December. Pre-sale was chaos — all stadium dates vanished in seconds, with Ticketmaster reporting 3.1 million fans in line for US shows. The setlist is rumored to include new ARIRANG tracks, classics from Map of the Soul and Proof, and solo features. The stage design is said to be heavy on Korean aesthetics, with hanok screens and live traditional percussion.
But here’s the kicker: India isn’t on the list. Indian ARMYs noticed immediately, and #BTSComeToIndia trended for 14 straight hours. Fans point out that Indian listeners now stream BTS more than almost anyone else on Spotify and YouTube, with Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore in the group’s top 10 listener cities worldwide. The problem is venue size — India doesn’t have enough massive indoor stadiums to handle the full ARIRANG production. But hope isn’t lost. HYBE opened a Mumbai office two years ago and hosted a BTS exhibit in Delhi last year, calling India a priority market. Fans are already scooping up tickets for Singapore, Bangkok, and Dubai dates rumored for early 2027. As one fan put it: “We waited through the military. We’ll wait for the tour. Just don’t skip us again.”
