Day 9 sees a noticeable dip in collections
Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 is still going strong at the box office, but the daily momentum is showing signs of cooling off. On day 9, the film collected Rs 4.30 crore net in India across 2,524 shows, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. That’s a 35.3 percent drop from the previous day’s Rs 6.65 crore. Despite the slowdown, the film’s overall India net stands at a solid Rs 86.25 crore, with the India gross reaching Rs 100.08 crore. Clearly, the film has already secured a blockbuster domestic run.
Overseas markets push global total past Rs 200 crore
International markets continue to play a huge role in Drishyam 3’s success story. On day 9 alone, overseas collections stood at Rs 6.00 crore, taking the total overseas gross to Rs 109.00 crore. This strong foreign performance has helped push the worldwide gross to Rs 209.08 crore. The film is clearly a global hit, with audiences everywhere loving the suspense drama.
Occupancy trends show mid-week softening
Occupancy trends indicate a clear weekday slowdown across languages. The Malayalam 2D version recorded an overall occupancy of 31.58 percent, with evening and night shows performing better at 38.75 percent and 47.17 percent respectively. The Tamil version registered lower engagement at 18.69 percent overall, while Kannada shows remained comparatively modest at 11.86 percent. Kerala remains the strongest contributor with Rs 4.25 crore on day 9 alone, reaffirming the franchise’s deep-rooted popularity in its home market. Other regions like Andhra-Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Rest of India collectively added under Rs 1 crore.
