Reporting an error
If you spot a factual error in one of our articles, please email [email protected] with the subject line “Correction Request”. Include the following in your message:
- The URL of the article containing the error;
- A description of the specific error;
- The correct information, with a source or reference where possible.
Our verification process
Every correction request is reviewed by an editor. We re-check the relevant facts against the original source material and, where necessary, additional independent sources. We do not make corrections based solely on a subject’s preference — only when the factual record supports it.
How we publish corrections
When a material factual error is confirmed:
- The article is updated with the correct information;
- The original error is struck through where helpful for context;
- A brief correction note is appended at the end of the article with an “Updated” timestamp;
- Significant corrections are logged on this page.
Minor corrections (typos, formatting, broken links) are fixed silently. Substantive factual corrections are always noted transparently.
