Ali Fazal and Sonali Bendre’s Raakh Trailer Out
Prime Video has dropped the bone-chilling trailer of its upcoming Prime Original crime thriller Raakh. Set in late 1970s Delhi, the series follows sub-inspector Jayprakash, played by Ali Fazal, as he hunts down perpetrators behind a brutal crime that shatters the belief that children are safe after sunset. The trailer opens with the haunting question: “Bacche kab se gayab hain?” — a line that every parent will feel in their gut.
Ali Fazal, who steps into the shoes of an introverted, flawed cop, said the script drew him in with its layered, emotionally intense storytelling. “Jayprakash is an unlikely cop, constantly trying to prove himself in a rapidly changing political and social environment,” he shared. Sonali Bendre, playing Mona Arora, described the series as a deeply human story that let her explore vulnerability and quiet strength. Aamir Bashir, who plays Lt. Col. Ashok Arora, called it one of the most challenging roles of his career.
The series, directed by Prosit Roy and created by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket, also stars Akash Makhija, Divya Sharma, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. Raakh premieres exclusively on Prime Video in India and over 240 countries on June 12.
Nawab Cafe Now Streaming on Prime Video
If family dramas are more your pace, Nawab Cafe has finally arrived on OTT. The Telugu film, starring Shiva Kandukuri, Rajeev Kanakala, and Teju Ashwini, explores the emotional gap between a father and his son — a sentimental father clinging to his old tea cafe and a son chasing big-city riches. Written and directed by Pramod Harsha, the movie released in theatres on February 20 and is now streaming on Prime Video in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
The film has received a decent but mixed response. One social media review called it a “routine sentimental drama” with a predictable story, slow pace, and flat performances, except for a couple of engaging hours. But for fans of emotional family sagas, it might still hit the right notes. The cast also includes Rajkumar Kasireddy and Chaitanya Krishna, with music by Prashanth R. Vihari.
