Adivi Sesh’s Compassionate Message
Adivi Sesh is kicking off World Environment Day a little early this year – and he’s bringing some feathered friends along. The ‘G2’ and ‘Dacoit: A Love Story’ star has teamed up with PETA India for a fresh campaign that’s all about making kinder food choices. In the new visuals, Sesh is seen posing with two chicks, and the message is hard to miss: ‘Chicks Love a Vegetarian.’
For Sesh, it’s not just a catchy line – it’s a way of life. The actor opened up about why he chose to be part of this campaign, saying, ‘When you look into the eyes of a chicken, it’s easy to see that these are thinking, feeling beings who experience fear and love just like we do, and they don’t want to die. I don’t want to add more suffering to this world. That’s why I choose compassion with every meal by leaving animals off my plate.’
The campaign was shot by photographer Shiva SS, with styling by Rekha Boggarapu, makeup by Tulasi Krishna Chintha, and hair by Sandeep Kumar Chenna. It’s all set to drop ahead of World Environment Day on June 5, aiming to get people thinking about what’s on their plates.
The Campaign and Its Cause
PETA India is using this moment to shine a light on how chickens are treated in the meat industry. According to the organisation, these birds are intelligent creatures capable of forming social bonds and showing complex behaviours – yet they’re often subjected to brutal factory farming practices. The campaign’s core message is simple: choose compassion, leave animals off your plate.
Sesh joins a long list of Bollywood A-listers who’ve lent their star power to PETA India over the years. Kartik Aaryan, Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, Hema Malini, and R. Madhavan have all fronted similar campaigns, nudging fans towards vegetarian and vegan lifestyles. PETA India’s stance is clear: ‘animals are not ours to eat or abuse in any way,’ and they’re fighting against what they call speciesism – the idea that human interests always come before those of other animals.
