Ravi Kishan Opens Up About Working With Madhuri Dixit
As ‘Maa Behen’ gears up for release, Ravi Kishan has given fans a rare glimpse into what it’s like sharing screen space with the one and only Madhuri Dixit. And by all accounts, the experience left him both nervous and totally in awe. In a recent chat, he admitted that several of their scenes together were emotionally intense, and that he had never played a role quite like this one before. He also noted that Madhuri’s character in the film is unlike anything she has done on screen previously.
But what really stood out? Madhuri’s absolutely unshakeable calm on set. Ravi Kishan revealed that no matter what chaos unfolded around them, the actress remained zen. He shared, “Madhuri ma’am has no problems in life. Whether it is raining or muddy, I have never seen her throw any tantrums. It doesn’t matter if it’s raining too much or too little; she is peacefully happy. If the lights go out, she is happy. If we are waiting because Ravi Kishan is arriving a little late, she is still happy. Even if I say an extra line during rehearsals, she has absolutely no problem. She just smiles.”
He added, “She has built a beautiful world of her own. She lives in that world and stays absorbed in it. Even if there is a storm or a fire, she listens to everything and just says, ‘Oh yeah, yeah,’ and smiles.” Now that’s the kinda co-star energy we all need.
The Gorakhpur Crowd Incident That Left Ravi Anxious
Ravi Kishan also recalled a wild incident from a jewellery store inauguration in Gorakhpur, where both he and Madhuri were present as brand ambassadors. The event drew such an enormous crowd that the entire city came to a standstill. People were literally climbing trees and walls just to catch a glimpse of the diva. While Ravi was getting anxious about her security and comfort, Madhuri remained completely unbothered.
He recounted, “The entire city came to a standstill that day. People were climbing trees and walls just to get a glimpse of her. Young girls and the Gen Z crowd were ready to jump in excitement. I was anxious about her security and comfort, but it didn’t bother her at all. She was completely unfazed and smiling calmly.” Classic Madhuri — cool as a cucumber while the world goes nuts.
All About ‘Maa Behen’ — The Madhuri Comeback We’re Waiting For
‘Maa Behen’ centers on a mother and her two daughters — Rekha, Jaya, and Sushma — who are already considered controversial figures in their conservative neighbourhood. Things take a wild turn when the trio discovers a dead body in their kitchen, setting off a chain of events as they scramble to cover up the crime while managing the mayhem around them.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film stars Madhuri Dixit alongside Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Arunoday Singh. The film is streaming on Netflix, and if the BTS stories are anything to go by, we’re in for a treat. Ravi Kishan summed it up best: working with Madhuri is like watching a storm from a safe distance — she’s the calm eye of it all.
