Shoot Schedule and Current Commitments
The much-anticipated reunion of Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda, and director Mohit Suri for a new Yash Raj Films romantic project is finally moving forward. According to industry sources, the film will go on floors in October or November this year. The team is currently in pre-production mode, aiming to start principal photography in the latter half of 2025.
Both actors have packed schedules before they can dive into this special project. Ahaan Panday is currently shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s next film and is expected to wrap his portions by July. Meanwhile, Aneet Padda is busy with the shoot of her project titled Shakti Shalini. Once they complete their current commitments, they’ll shift focus entirely to Mohit Suri’s directorial venture under the YRF banner.
“Ahaan and Aneet are reuniting with Mohit Suri for a fresh romantic story. The film is currently in the pre-production stage, and the makers are aiming to commence principal photography in October-November. There is a lot of excitement within the team as they come together after the phenomenal response of Saiyaara,” a source close to the production shared.
Setting the Record Straight on the Title
Rumors had been swirling online about the film’s title, with many speculating it would be called Satranga. But now, that speculation has been put to rest. A source from the team has confirmed that the project was never titled Satranga. The official title remains under wraps for now, likely to be revealed closer to the shoot date.
The same source clarified, “There have been several reports regarding the title, but the film was never titled Satranga.” Fans will have to wait a bit longer to know what Suri and YRF have cooked up this time.
Mohit Suri’s Vision for the Film
When the film was first announced earlier this year, Mohit Suri opened up about his connection to love stories and this particular project. Known for his intense romantic dramas, Suri described the project as overwhelming, where emotions are unbound and self-consuming. He expressed that love is meant to be felt intensely, and as a storyteller, he naturally gravitates toward exploring that intensity.
“It’s always been love stories for me. Overwhelming – when emotions are so unbound, self-consuming and become impossible to ignore. Love is supposed to be felt intensely, and that’s why I naturally gravitate towards this as a storyteller. The film explores this unabashedly,” Suri said during a press interaction in April.
He also spoke about reuniting with the same team from Saiyaara. “So coming back with the same team from Saiyaara feels incredibly special. Maybe it was always written in the stars. Reuniting, coming back home but with a renewed creative hunger. This time I feel like a newcomer, excited, anxious about this story, and I hope my music will again touch people like I have always strived for through my films,” he added.
With the trio set to reassemble later in the year, industry watchers are already calling this one of the most anticipated romantic films in YRF’s upcoming slate. Stay tuned for more updates as the shoot date approaches.
