Nushrratt Bharuccha has finally spoken up about that wildly viral video that had the internet convinced they heard something spicy during RCB’s IPL victory celebrations. Spoiler: it was just a puppy.

The actress shared a clip of the moment Royal Challengers Bengaluru lifted the trophy, but instead of celebrating the win, netizens zeroed in on background noises that they claimed sounded like moaning and even slapping. Within hours, the video was everywhere, and the speculation was running wild. But Nushrratt wasn’t about to let that slide.

The Viral Video That Sparked It All

It all started when Nushrratt posted a celebratory video from her friend’s house right as RCB clinched the IPL trophy. What should have been a simple fan moment turned into a full-blown controversy when users on social media began dissecting the audio. Some claimed they heard moaning, others insisted there were slapping sounds. The comments section became a hotbed of wild theories, and before long, the video had spread across platforms like wildfire.

The actress quickly realised that the clip was being taken completely out of context. Worse, someone even issued a fake clarification on her behalf, adding fuel to the fire. That’s when Nushrratt decided to step in personally with receipts.

Nushrratt Sets the Record Straight

Taking to Instagram Stories, Nushrratt clapped back at the speculation with evidence. She shared a photo of the living room and television where she had watched the match, alongside a video of the real culprit — a young puppy. Her caption read, “Kuch logon ne hadh hi kar di hai. Ek puppy ke rone ki awaaz se itna bawaal mach gaya hai (Some people have crossed the limit. Just because of the sound of a puppy crying) and someone has issued a fake clarification also on my behalf. So here’s the reality… I was watching the match at my friends house and their young puppy was making these crying ‘Sounds’. This is the video made by my friend at the same time with the same sounds from another angle.”

She didn’t stop there. Nushrratt posted additional visuals of the house and the puppy from that very night, making it crystal clear that the audio in question was nothing but the pup’s cries. She even admitted she had deleted the original video out of fear that exactly this kind of misinterpretation would happen. “Fearing exactly what has happened, I was advised to delete that video and I did. People, calm your wild thoughts down! Owning a mobile phone doesn’t empower harrassment. Do not misinterpret or follow blindly. Think and act responsibly,” she wrote.

A Lesson in Social Media Responsibility

The controversy may have been short-lived, but it highlighted how quickly things can spiral out of control on social media. Nushrratt’s response was not just about setting the record straight for herself — it was a broader reminder to think before jumping to conclusions. She urged users to act responsibly and not let their wild imaginations run the show.

The actress also called out the spread of misinformation, especially the fake clarification that was circulating in her name. By providing proof from multiple angles — the location, the puppy, the timing — she effectively shut down the rumours. And honestly, if there’s one takeaway from this whole bawaal, it’s that sometimes a sound is just a sound. And in this case, it was a very cute, very loud puppy.

So next time you hear something suspicious in a celebrity’s video, maybe take a beat before assuming the worst. Nushrratt’s puppy saga is a perfect reminder that not everything is as dramatic as it seems — though we do give full marks to that little pup for stealing the spotlight.
