Property deal details emerge

Akshay Kumar has quietly sold two residential flats in Mumbai’s Oberoi Sky City complex in Borivali East for a combined Rs 7.1 crore, industry sources confirm. The transactions were registered on June 2, 2026, according to documents reviewed by real estate data firm CRE Matrix.

The larger apartment, spanning 1,101 sq ft and located on an upper floor, fetched Rs 5.75 crore. The deal included two dedicated parking spaces and attracted a stamp duty of Rs 28.75 lakh. A smaller unit on the same floor, measuring 252 sq ft, was sold for Rs 1.35 crore with one parking spot, incurring Rs 6.75 lakh in stamp duty.

Both properties were purchased by Suvarna Rupeshkumar Sakpal, as per the registration records. Neither Akshay Kumar nor the buyer could be reached for comment.

A profitable investment for the star

Akshay had originally acquired both flats from Incline Realty Pvt Ltd back in November 2017. At the time, the larger unit cost him Rs 3 crore, while the smaller one was bought for Rs 67.55 lakh. That means the actor has made a combined profit of roughly Rs 3.4 crore on the deal — a solid return on a seven-year-old investment.

The Borivali property market has seen steady appreciation in recent years, and this sale reflects the growing demand for premium residential spaces in Mumbai’s western suburbs.

Akshay’s real estate moves

This isn’t the first time the ‘Khiladi’ star has made headlines for property transactions. Akshay and his wife Twinkle Khanna own multiple homes across Mumbai, including a sprawling Juhu bungalow and a sea-facing apartment in the city’s upscale Bandra area. The couple is known for their savvy real estate investments, often buying and selling properties at opportune moments.

Akshay’s latest film, Sky Force, released earlier this year, and he has a packed schedule ahead with projects like Housefull 5 and Jolly LLB 3 in the pipeline. But for now, it seems the actor is also busy managing his portfolio off-screen.
