Bobby Deol on Alpha: ‘A complete entertainer’
Bobby Deol is all praise for YRF’s upcoming spy thriller ‘Alpha’, calling it a mass entertainer designed for the big screen. In a chat with an international publication, the actor shared his excitement about being part of the film, which marks the first female-led chapter in YRF’s blockbuster spy universe.
“Alpha is a really cool action film and a complete entertainer,” Bobby said. “What I enjoyed most about it is that it knows exactly what it wants to be—a film that gives audiences a fun and exciting time at the theatres.”

Director Shiv Rawail’s vision wows Bobby
Bobby had nothing but love for director Shiv Rawail, crediting him for creating a warm and positive atmosphere on set. “The atmosphere on set was incredibly warm and positive, and I have to give full credit to Shiv Rawail for his vision,” the actor said.
He further added, “As an actor, it was inspiring to work with a director who was so clear about the world he wanted to create. He has made something that feels fresh and different, and being part of that journey was immensely rewarding.”
With Rawail at the helm, insiders say the film promises a fresh take on the spy genre, blending high-octane action with emotional depth.
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari lead the charge
One of the biggest highlights for Bobby was watching Alia Bhatt and Sharvari take centre stage in an action-heavy narrative. “It was exciting to see Alia and Sharvari at the heart of an action film. They brought tremendous dedication and energy to their roles, which added so much to the experience of working on the project,” he stated.
With ‘Alpha’ breaking new ground as the first female-led entry in the YRF Spy Universe—which previously delivered blockbusters like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Tiger 3’—industry sources suggest the film will redefine the franchise’s dynamics. Bobby, meanwhile, is eagerly waiting for audience reactions. “I can’t wait for audiences to experience Alpha and I hope they shower it with all their love,” he said.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, ‘Alpha’ stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles, and is set to hit theatres on July 3, 2026.
