Palak Tiwari opens up about her simple skincare philosophy

Palak Tiwari, who belongs to a generation obsessed with beauty trends and elaborate skincare routines, surprised fans by revealing she prefers to keep things simple. During a recent appearance on the South Delhi Girls Podcast, the actress shared insights into her beauty habits and the adorable way her mother, Shweta Tiwari, has started borrowing her products.

Palak confessed that she and her mother have very different approaches to skincare. “Firstly, mom and I have nothing in common when it comes to a beauty routine, except for the things that she steals from me sporadically,” she said with a laugh. The actress noted that their relationship has evolved over time, joking that parents often start acting like their children as they age.

“You know, as they say, parents become your children as you grow old and they grow older. My mom, as we like to say, is going through her teenage era,” Palak shared. She recalled how skincare products frequently vanish from her room, only for her to later discover her mother had borrowed them without asking.

Palak described the amusing pattern of her mother sneaking her products. “She will steal things from my room. I’ll ask, ‘Mom, did you take that?’ And she’ll say no. Then long behold, she did take it. She steals my face masks and all of that,” she said. As a result, Palak joked that Shweta’s current beauty routine is essentially a copy of her own.

“It’s safe to say that her beauty routine right now is whatever my beauty routine is,” Palak added. The mother-daughter duo’s shared beauty habits have become a running joke in their household, with Palak embracing the chaos. Fans have been loving this glimpse into their bond, with many calling it relatable and adorable.

When asked about her own skincare essentials, Palak didn’t list an elaborate multi-step regimen. Instead, she highlighted two simple habits she swears by. “My beauty routine is just, I think, do those collagen masks on your face every single day. The best ever. Just do it,” she said.

The actress also stressed the importance of sunscreen, a staple dermatologists worldwide recommend for protecting the skin from sun damage and premature aging. “Lots of sunscreen. Literally. I know people say this and it’s gotten jarring at this point. Apply sunscreen and drink water. But trust me, wake up, don’t even brush, put sunscreen and then brush,” Palak said humorously.

Calling the habit “life-changing” and “life-altering,” she reiterated that consistent sunscreen use, combined with nightly collagen masks, forms the foundation of her skincare routine. Palak’s down-to-earth approach has resonated with fans who appreciate her candidness about beauty.

The actress is currently gearing up for the premiere of her project Lukkhe, and her mother Shweta Tiwari has been cheering her on every step of the way. With their playful dynamic and shared skincare secrets, this mother-daughter duo is winning hearts both on and off screen.
