The Friend Who Stole the Show

Bobby Deol recently opened up about his school days and first crush, revealing a shy side that fans rarely get to see. The actor admitted he was too nervous to approach the girl himself, so he roped in a friend to do the talking. But things took an unexpected turn.

“I liked a girl, but I couldn’t talk to her. So I asked a friend of mine, who used to talk to everyone, to go and say hello on my behalf. He went and spoke to her, but eventually he started trying his luck with her himself,” Bobby recalled with a laugh. The incident happened when he was in the ninth standard, and the friend remains one of his closest companions even today. “That friend is still a very good friend of mine. Most of my old friends are still with me,” he added.

The Blood Donation That Never Happened

Bobby also shared another amusing story from his college days involving a girl he liked. She approached students in a library, desperately seeking blood donors for her ailing father. “Her father was very ill and she came asking if anyone could donate blood. I immediately said, ‘Yes, I’ll come.’ I thought maybe something good would come out of it,” he joked.

However, the plan didn’t go as expected. Bobby watched others donate blood and became nervous after seeing the large needles. “I was sitting there and watching people donate blood. The needle looked huge and I got scared. When my turn came, they checked my blood pressure and it was high. They told me I couldn’t donate blood,” he said. Although he failed to donate, Bobby laughed that at least he had shown up. “I told myself, ‘At least I came. The impression I wanted to create, I created it.’”

The Shy Boy Behind the Star

The Animal actor revealed that he was an extremely shy child who never enjoyed school much and rarely got involved in mischief. “I was very quiet. I never really liked going to school. I wasn’t the kind of kid who played pranks or got into trouble,” he said. These candid anecdotes give fans a rare peek into Bobby’s younger years — a side that contrasts sharply with his intense on-screen persona.

From a failed crush mission to a blood donation that never happened, Bobby Deol’s school and college stories are proof that even Bollywood stars had their share of awkward moments. And yes, the friend who tried his luck is still in the picture — proving that some bonds survive even a little betrayal.
