Saiee M Manjrekar is all set to give us chills with her next project, Ikaai, a horror film co-starring Raghav Juyal. The actress, who has been juggling massy entertainers with offbeat roles, says this one took a serious toll on her—emotionally and psychologically. In a candid chat, she revealed that the film pushed her beyond her comfort zone like never before.
“Ikaai has definitely been one of the most challenging films I’ve worked on till date,” she shared, adding that the emotional demands of certain scenes were “extremely raw and intense.” For an actor who loves to challenge herself, this was both exhausting and fulfilling. And honestly, we love to see her step out of her bubble, yaar.
Silence Speaks Louder
Saiee also opened up about how the film changed her understanding of performance. She realized that sometimes, silence and vulnerability can hit harder than loud drama. “The film constantly keeps the characters emotionally exposed, and that honesty is what makes the horror feel real,” she explained.
