The recently dropped trailer of Gram Chikitsalay Season 2 has fans buzzing about one thing — Akansha Ranjan Kapoor’s Dr Gargi is getting a whole lot more screen time. The Prime Video series, which first premiered in 2023, is set to return with deeper character arcs and more intense drama from the fictional village of Bhathkandi in rural Jharkhand.
In Season 1, Dr Gargi was a supporting character — a local doctor who knew the ground realities of working in a neglected healthcare system. The show, directed by Rahul Pandey and created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, is produced by TVF. The ensemble cast also includes Anandeshwar Dwivedi and Vinay Pathak in key roles. The series follows Dr Prabhat, an idealistic young doctor who takes charge of a neglected Primary Health Centre in a North Indian village. As he tries to bring change, he realises his own transformation is just as important as the reforms he hopes to introduce.
