Hina Khan breaks her silence
Actress Hina Khan has finally spoken out about the ongoing controversy surrounding Shilpa Shinde, who recently admitted that her sexual harassment complaint against ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’ producer Sanjay Kohli was false. Taking to her Instagram Story, Hina expressed her shock and disappointment, saying she usually refrains from commenting on matters that don’t directly involve her, but this time she felt compelled to speak up.
In her post, Hina wrote, ‘Yes, using your Sex to malign someone’s image in order to win during a conflict is absolutely shameful.’ She made it clear that while she supports genuine cases of harassment, using such serious allegations as a weapon in a personal feud is unacceptable. Hina added that she was ‘shocked beyond words’ when she heard Shilpa admit to fabricating the accusations.
Support for the ‘real victim’
Hina didn’t hold back in defending Sanjay Kohli, describing him as a ‘respected Man with a wife, a daughter and many other women in his family.’ She called him a hardworking producer who has given the industry several hit TV shows. Hina said, ‘As admitted by the Female Actor, her allegations were not just baseless they were used to gain advantage, to win, to score, to claim, to settle without the utilisation of Law.’
The actress also expressed disbelief that Kohli, despite being falsely accused, still gave Shilpa the same show again. Hina wrote, ‘And even after that, the SAME producer gives the SAME show to the SAME person. Another LAUNCHPAD, another MOUTHPIECE, another RELEVANCE, another CHANCE to legitimise her Fake Claim of SEXUAL ASSAULT.’
A warning for the future
Hina ended her statement with a pointed question: ‘What if the actor repeats it? After all the actor has been given the same show by the one she FALSELY ACCUSED.’ She concluded by saying she was deeply disappointed by the entire episode, adding, ‘The joke is on us.’
