Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 is showing no signs of slowing down at the ticket windows. The mystery drama directed by Jeethu Joseph had a solid second weekend and has crossed yet another major milestone globally. Here’s a detailed look at the numbers.

Second Weekend Sees A Jump

After a slight hiccup on Friday, the film bounced back on Saturday with a 17.4% increase in collections. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Drishyam 3 collected Rs 5.05 crore net in India on Day 10 (its second Saturday). That’s a healthy jump from Rs 4.30 crore on Day 9.

The film’s occupancy also saw a significant boost, especially during the evening and night shows. Malayalam occupancy stood at 38.35% overall, with night shows touching an impressive 56.83%. This indicates strong word-of-mouth and repeat audience.

The film played across 2,570 shows on Day 10, maintaining its wide release even in its second week. This steady hold suggests that the franchise’s loyal fanbase is turning up in full force.

India Net Crosses Rs 91 Crore

With the Day 10 collection, Drishyam 3‘s India net now stands at Rs 91.30 crore. The India gross has climbed to Rs 105.94 crore so far.

The film had a strong first week, ending with Rs 81.95 crore. Day 8 brought Rs 6.65 crore, and after a dip to Rs 4.30 crore on Day 9, the weekend surge on Day 10 helped recover lost ground. The film’s trajectory indicates solid legs, which is a good sign for its long-term run.

State-wise, Kerala remains the biggest market, contributing Rs 4.35 crore in gross collections on Day 10. Karnataka followed with Rs 61 lakhs, Tamil Nadu added Rs 35 lakhs, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 25 lakhs. The Rest of India market added another Rs 30 lakhs. Kerala alone accounts for over half of the domestic gross, reinforcing the film’s stronghold in its home state.

Global Collections Cross Rs 219 Crore

Overseas, the film continues to perform strongly. Drishyam 3 collected Rs 6 crore on Day 10 in international markets, pushing its overseas gross to Rs 113.75 crore. Combined with the India gross, the worldwide total has now reached Rs 219.69 crore.

The film is now steadily marching toward its next major box office target. Given the positive trend, trade experts expect it to cross the Rs 250 crore mark soon. With no major competition in the coming weeks, Drishyam 3 is poised to become one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of the year.

Meanwhile, critical reception has been mixed but largely positive. ETimes gave the film 3 stars out of 5, noting that Jeethu Joseph attempts to explore guilt, paranoia, and psychological exhaustion more than suspense this time. The review highlighted how the film focuses on violence silently existing inside relationships, memory, and everyday life, with Georgekutty’s greatest punishment being the inability to live without fear. It also pointed out that the film exposes and to an extent glorifies how cinema romanticises antiheroes, making audiences justify violence in the name of family protection.

Regardless of the debate, the box office numbers speak for themselves. Drishyam 3 is a certified hit and is proving to be yet another feather in Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s cap.
