It’s a Wrap for Drishyam 3!

The Hindi version of Drishyam 3 has officially wrapped its shoot, and director Abhishek Pathak is feeling all the feels. The filmmaker took to social media late on June 10 to share the big news with fans, confirming that the much-anticipated sequel starring Ajay Devgn has completed filming. The announcement comes hot on the heels of the Malayalam version’s release, which starred Mohanlal and wrapped up the original franchise.

Pathak dropped a picture from the sets, hinting at the months of hard work that went into the making. “And that’s a wrap on the shoot of #Drishyam3,” he wrote, kicking off an emotional note for his team.

An Emotional Journey Behind the Scenes

In his post, Pathak opened up about the rollercoaster ride of bringing this story to life. “For the past many months, this film has been our world. We’ve spent countless days and nights together, chasing scenes, solving problems, sharing laughs, overcoming challenges, and slowly bringing this story to life,” the director shared. He didn’t forget to thank the entire cast and crew, calling the project a collective labour of love.

The note also touched upon the tough days. “There were good days, difficult days, and crazy days, but you showed up every single time and gave it everything you had,” Pathak wrote. He added that the film carries a piece of every single person involved, saying, “Your effort, your passion, and your heart can be found in every frame.” Now that’s a wrap-up post that hits right in the feels!

Different Take from the Malayalam Version

Earlier, Pathak had revealed to the media that the Hindi version won’t be a scene-by-scene remake of the Malayalam film. While both versions share the same emotional core, the adaptation has been tweaked for Hindi audiences. “The Malayalam film is an emotional family drama, while ours is a family thriller,” Pathak explained. That distinction is sure to keep fans guessing about what twists are in store for Ajay Devgn’s character, Vijay Salgaonkar.

With filming done and dusted, post-production is expected to kick into high gear. Drishyam 3 is slated to hit theatres on October 2, 2026. Mark your calendars, folks — this one’s going to be a ride!
